Jovial and passionate, Mon was a true worshiper. Sunday after Sunday, he encouraged the congregation to give praises due to the King of kings as he lead praise and worship. He was an example to our youth and an inspiration to those around him. I always sensed the Lord’s approval in his life. Ultimately, he was a lover of God. The cancer was only diagnosed early this year. Of course everyone prayed for his healing. During Saturdays, our prayer warriors laid their hands upon him. We were all expecting a miracle of healing. Nonetheless two days ago, he was rushed to the hospital and died after 24 hours.
I will never forget the countless times you made me laugh and the way you ushered all of us in the awesome presence of God. I STILL BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, MON. You are one to me. THIS IS NOT THE END because I know the life you lived will continue to create ripples of goodness, love and hope.

…Today Zeroa leads the saints in worshipping the Love of his life. I will miss you, Mon
Love,
ate Wendy

What a touching story.
Nice meeting another aspiring social worker! Have a great day!! :)
Hi I am sorry to hear about Mon.
Condolence.
Thanks for the review, you are a beautiful person.
hello, there! thanks for dropping by my site and for those kind comments.
Mon is indeed finally home, so it is the best consolation that the people he left behind have, right? i is just sad that his presence will be sorely missed.
cancer is caused by diet, pollution and all the deadly elements that we inhale, eat, exposed to, etc. next to smoking, diet is the next major determinant whether a person will have or will not have cancer. so, we should really be watching our diet, as it is directly linked to our immunity or ability to fight cancer.
early detection is another weapon against cancer. i hope this info helps somehow.
cancer is a beastly disease but we Christians should still be thankful that our Lord has a way of using the worst scenarios for our ultimate good.
bye!
Sorry to hear about Mon. I 'm surprised to see how young he was... Well, I'm glad he is no longer suffering from lung cancer. May you and all those who was in his life find peace in that.
Hi Wendy!
A friend told me that cancer can be prevented and the early stage of some cancer can be treated. Lifestyle is a a big factor and regular check-up. Surgery is also a procedure given to cancer patients who found their our the have cancer at its early stage.
Seems like Mon's lung cancer was very severe. God must have His reasons why cancer had spread rapidly. As The Almighty and All-knowing God, He must have used Mon's life for others to know God better. =)
My Condolences to you and you church! *hugs tight!*
Dear One,
Thank you for this soul-searching and touching tribute to your friend, Mon.
Suffering and death surround us - but the hope we have in Christ is a gift the world desperately needs.
Not with platitudes and buzz words, but with the kind of honest questions you have revealed you struggle with, coupled with the expression of your personal faith.
I know God will meet your every need and in time give you the answers to the deepest questions of your heart
Love,
Jlo
Wendy, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolences.
Unfortunately, I, too have lost a few loved ones to the hideous "cancer" diseases. I hate any disease that destroys this temple that the Lord has created for us to reside in. It reminds me all too well of the CURSE - from which we have been redeemed through Christ's action on the cross - yet still continues to plague Christians and non-Christians alike.
My 13 y/o daughter plans to be a research scientist who specifically studies and develops cures for illnesses such as these. She says, "Mom, I just want to be able to develop cures for all the physical things that harm people". With God's blessing, she will indeed become just that in her adulthood. He created a very bright little girl, there. Although I'm moderately intelligent, I take no credit whatsoever for the good head on her shoulders! In fact, I'd be willing to bet that she's ALREADY smarter than BOTH her parents, my husband and I!
I believe God DOES use modern medicine to further His purpose and plan in the world today. And sometimes He uses his miracle-working power. Either way, I'll agree with you together in prayer upon that which has ALREADY BEEN DONE for us by the stripes of Jesus - we WERE healed and ARE healed! I confess that bodies will be made WHOLE, and will come in line with God's Word. That we walk in divine health by the stripes that Christ bore on His body on our behalf. We have been redeemed from the curse of the law - part of that curse is sickness and disease; and that we receive all that has been accomplished on our behalf by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This I proclaim in the name of Jesus.
Have a good day, sweetie! I am not leading P&W today, so I get to loaf around this morning for a bit longer! Hugs!
to kimba: wow thats sooo cool of your daugter =) I pray that her desire continue to grow and be nourished so that one day she will make a tremendous difference in the world =) I know she is in good hands cus you're her mom. Thanks Kimba you take care always *hugs*
This is a very reflective post,my dear. How can bad things happen to good people? Why some bad people die sooooo long? Why many kids are born from irresponsible parents? Why are some great couple get so depressed wanting to begat a child? Why many people resort to abortion because the pregnancy is unwanted? We have lots of questions,my friend....We have a very kind classmate and good friend in our highschool before (Ruth Joan)who died young because of leukemia. I still remember her...But why did she die? Why did God took my baby daughter? It's painful...sooo poignant...But,i also believe things happen for a reason. Thanks for this post,my friend.
to prily: oo nga pala you have a daughter who is with the Lord na. yes, there are many questions in life that we cannot I answer. But I think ang sagot lang dun is to TRUST GOD =)
this is such a touching post, made me teary eye coz I was also reminded of my father who passed away ( almost 4 years ago) from cancer. My father was not a worship leader but he was a real worshipper of God..that even during the last days of his life even though he went through so much of pain and suffering, but he's still able to raise his hands and thank God and worship Him. He taught me that indeed real worship doesn't depend on our situation but knowing WHO God is in our lives..He is GOD and deserves our worship, no matter how painful life can be.
God bless!!
to lalaine: you are soooo right! I've come to learn this also from Mon and other Christian friends I know who have endured so much but still chose to give God glory =) God bless you too!
