I am PREGNANT!!

After three months of trying, I'm finally pregnant. My period had been three days late. So I took a pregnancy test. The box of Medic Pregnancy Test says wait for three minutes but it only took seconds for the two distinct pink strips to appear!! I was very happy and excited. All day I fondly looked at the positive test. Late that night, upon telling Butch he’s going to be a daddy in nine months, at the top of his lungs he shouted a WOOHOO!! I had to cover his mouth so as not to disturb our neighbors. But he was that ecstatic.

My doctor asked me to have a Trans vaginal Utrasound because that was the only way to find out if I was really pregnant. Excited, we rushed to the OB section of St. Luke’s Hospital but unfortunately I had to wait 5 hours for my turn because I did not set an appointment. I couldn't wait that long. I wanted to be sure I was pregnant. Then, we remembered that one of Butch’s sister, ate Sally worked in a New World Laboratory we called her and found out we could have it done right away for only 420Php. It was a big price difference with St Luke’s price- 1800php!

The ultrasound device was very uncomfortable but I was willing to go through anything to get a glimpse of Nigel (as I’ve mentioned in my past posts, I am very certain it is going to be a boy and I’ll be calling him Nigel). “Oh, you are pregnant.” said the sonologist smiling. She tilted the monitor so I could see it for myself. “This is your baby!” she said pointing to this round figure on the screen. It was the size of a 25 cent Philippine peso coin.

I was officially 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant! My heart melted at the sight as I began to imagine how the Lord will knit Nigel fearfully and wonderfully inside my womb.

Now that my pregnancy is confirmed, I have to take care of myself. Eat only healthy stuff, make sure my allergic rhinitis doesn’t get out of control and be careful with my movements. I wonder what God looks like when I am a mother?

I believe that what we go through in life be it good or bad is
an opportunity for us to know God more. By surrendering to the Lord our
everything, we allow Him to intervene in our situation. In this way, He could
show us what He can do and how amazing, glorious, LOVING and powerful He is. I am excited to discover more of God through motherhood and pregnancy!
